I went out to the nightclubs with my good friend Andrew [link] and this was my costume. It’s not the first time I’ve tried to do Jason Voorhees [link] but it’s definitely the best. For some reason I really wanted to go out as Jason, I guess it was some thing to do with the awesome NECA Jason mask I got off EBay. I really wanted to show it off. A lot of people complain about the strap but I had no issue with it. It worked fine and man what comfortable mask! I could breathe for one thing which is not the case with some Jason masks.

Every one seem to love my costume, I got stoped over ten times for people to take photos with me. I was sitting in a club and a girl just jumped in my lamp and got pic taken of her with me. So many women wanted photos. I freaked out all the women and some men out too! Because I didn’t talk I just stared. I gave a lot of the women hugs to get a smile out them. The other hilarious thing was that because the mask causes you to have no depth perception it meant that I had to move really, really slowly and I had to look every where to make sure I could see where I was going. It added to the creepiness of it. We met lots of great people and I met up with guy dressed up as Freddy and so he got some pics of me strangling him, mine didn’t turn out. The worse part was some dude dress up as girl came up to me and tough kissed my mask…ewww!!! What a great night.

Great job dude! I'm still not a fan of the NECA mask paints but i bought one at Toys R Us for like $20 and I plan to repaint it. It's nice and thick plastic so it's pretty great.

I think the paints are fine, I get why people don't think much of them but for $20 it pretty good.

Pretty much what i'm saying. For $20 I can't complain and I can get it repainted really easily. Only problem I had was the paint brush strokes and the smudged triangles instead of chipped looking. also, painted on damage as opposes to molded in damage? Not looking like it's molded off the screen used prop to me. More like molded off a blank shot to me.

Makes sense that they would just use a blank slat rather a copy of the original it would be more cost effective. I’ve heard a lot of people just repaint it to suit those selves but it has to be official for me to like or want it. Knowing that it’s real Friday the 13th merch makes a big difference to me. Not to say that fan made mask don’t look sweet.

It makes sense if they were going to redecorate it into OTHER masks from the films, but to advertise that it's molded off the one used in that film is misrepresentation to me since all the molded in damage is painted on. that mask probably cost $10 to make but they charge nearly if not more than a hundred bucks for it. As for it being official merch...I doubt Jason walks around with a trademark logo on his mask XD
